Corporate Social Responsibility

Doing good is good for business

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an organisation’s initiatives to assess and take responsibility for its effects on environmental and social wellbeing. Organisations who do so typically go beyond what may be required by regulators, and these initiatives are often viewed favourably by their clients and the public.

Kulbardi supports its customers seeking to meet its CSR obligations by selecting appropriate suppliers who demonstrate environmental or social responsibility with their products.

Environmental Responsibility entails compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations, effective usage of resources, and an ongoing commitment to reducing the impact on the environment during the production process.

Examples of products which demonstrate Environmental Responsibility include: Bibbulmun A4 Copy Paper, Earth Choice Washing Liquid, Yaru Water and UTZ Certified Coffee.

Social Responsibility generally feature a redirection of part-proceeds towards organisations, causes or initiatives which benefit sections of the community in need, thereby “giving back”.

Examples of brands which demonstrate Social Responsibility include:

  • Bibbulmun. A range of workplace supplies where part-proceeds go to the Bibbulmun Fund, which invests in projects and initiatives designed to support Indigenous communities across Australia.
  • Who Gives A Crap. Billed as the ‘toilet paper that builds toilets’, Who Gives A Crap toilet tissues are 100% recycled, and 50% of profits channelled towards providing sanitation solutions in third-world countries.
